Real Time in the Marketplace
Each week, we hear stories from people who are making a difference. At one point, today’s guest felt so discouraged in life that he really didn’t feel like going on. Until one day, he saw a sign that read, “Only Jesus Saves.” He then committed his life to the Lord and has been serving him ever since. MOF has partnered with Pastor Jorge Ovando in order to share God’s love in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Click on the audio bar below to hear his story.
Is your schedule overloaded? Nowadays, so many people fill their calendars with one commitment after another. It’s been proven that when we’re tired, our minds are vulnerable to stress and anxiety. Today, Richard shares from the book of Romans. The truth is, there’s just not enough time in a day.

If you own a television, then you know the drill. Any night of the week you’re relaxing at home, flipping through the channels and within minutes, you’re viewing something that we once called inappropriate. Whether it’s an ad for lingerie or fast food, we are bombarded with images that are unhealthy for any age. All of our minds, Christians and Non-Christians alike are being assaulted and as a result, seared to immorality. Many people, even in ministry, have fallen into temptation with marriages and lives suffering the consequences. David Jones, Executive Director of Restoration Path joins us to talk about how you can protect yourself from sexual immorality and offer hope to those who have been affected.
It’s really no secret that we live in a materialistic world. Now don’t misunderstand, there’s nothing wrong with the material blessings in our life! God gives us things to enjoy and for Him to be honored in the process. But as soon as we start looking at those things to satisfy us, is when we begin to fall. Today, Richard Hamlet shares from the book of Daniel.
Real Time in the Marketplace
Each week on Ministry in the Marketplace, we shine the spotlight on companies and individuals who are using their position in the business world to make an impact for the sake of the gospel. At times, God will call someone to put aside their achievements for what might be called, full-time ministry. That’s what happened to Dr. Joe Carson when the Lord pressed upon him to sell his nationally known dental practice, in order to minister to the least of these through the Memphis Dream Center.
What are some things that come to mind when you hear the word family or friends? Probably comfort, right? These are the people that you can be yourself around. They see you for who you are and nothing else. Today, Richard Hamlet shares from the book of Isaiah. Talking about the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone in order to impact lives for Christ. Click on the audio bar below.

Psalm 34:19 says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers us out of them all.” Most of us struggle with one thing or another. Whatever your difficulty you face, it’s easy to feel alone and that no one can relate to your circumstance. The truth is, you’re not alone. You may have come from a family that seemed to have it all together or one that was broken. Either way, life is full of unanswered questions. Today, Richard sits down with Pastor, Public Speaker, Author and Radio Host, Andy Savage. Andy’s mission statement is, “Making God make sense, starting at home then everywhere else.” Andy deals with real life situations on a daily basis and has allowed God to impact thousands of lives through his heart for families and people.
Recently, my daughter and I were walking through the park. It was a beautiful sunny day, when something caught her eye. It was a big fountain of water, spilling into a small pool. She was immediately captivated. As she got closer, she noticed that it was full of pennies. I knew what was coming next, so I reached into my pocket and pulled out a shiny penny. She threw it in the water and watched the ripples spread. Then she said this, “Daddy, how can a small penny make such a big wave?” You know, it’s a lot like our spiritual lives. By taking a leap of faith, you may never know the impact that you’ve made on someone else’s life. One small act of obedience can influence multitudes. Last week on Ministry in the Marketplace, Richard sat down with Ms. Victoria Hearst. She’s the founder and president of Praise Him Ministries in Ridgeway, Colorado. Over the years, her family name has made quite the impact in the media world. Her grandfather, William Randolph Hearst, founded the nation’s largest newspaper chain. The Hearst Corporation now publishes multiple newspapers and magazines including, Cosmopolitan. Victoria decided that it was time to take a stand against the negative impact that Cosmo is having on minors. That’s when she launched the Cosmo Harms Minors campaign. Today, we’ve invited Victoria back to the program. Click on the audio bar below to find out more.
