From the Inside Out

Nov 10th, 2024

“Rend your heart and not your garments…” (Joel 2:13). God looks at the heart, but the human soul tends to rely upon external ritual and superficial penitence in an attempt to please God. However, going through the external motions does not penetrate and change the heart. The Prophet Joel lived in a time of nominal religion and superficial worship, and his nation was reaping God’s judgment as a result. Tune in as Richard L. Hamlet examines the crucial need for heart surgery in Joel’s culture as well as in the marketplaces of the 21st Century.
