It’s a beautiful Saturday morning. All you can think about is how nice that it would be if you could cast a fishing line, while relaxing on the water, with a cool breeze in your face. You decide to load up the boat, grab your tackle box, fishing pole, bait and a sandwich. After getting all settled in and casting that first line, it’s now waiting time. Pretty soon, minutes turn into hours and you haven’t gotten a single bite… In Matthew 4:18-20, Jesus was walking along the Sea of Galilee when he saw Simon and his brother Andrew. Jesus looked at them and said, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to be fishers of men.” Right then, they left everything behind and followed Jesus. Today, Richard Hamlet talks about the importance of focusing your life on things that make a difference.
Real Time in the Marketplace
About twenty years ago, there was a song that was played on the radio by Scott Wesley Brown called, Please Don’t Send Me to Africa. It was a parody of the “fear” that some Christians feel if the Lord calls them into Christian service. Our guest today was not singing that song when he was called to serve. In fact, Attorney Nate Kellum gets to do exactly what he loves to do while at the same time, making a difference for Christ. Isn’t that like the Lord? To give us the desires of our heart? Well, today Rev. Richard Hamlet talks with Attorney Nate Kellum about being a light in and out of the courtroom.
Real World Impact
Our next guest is also making an impact in the world as an Attorney. David Peel has a long list of accolades and accomplishments on his resume, within the legal profession and in his Christian service. But that wasn’t always the case. In fact, there was a time when David Peel was antagonistic towards Christians. Our Real World Impact guest is just another example of a life that was changed because someone stepped out to do Ministry in the Marketplace.
