In Romans, Paul pours out his heart to the church in Rome. Here’s what he said, “My heart is filled with bitter sorrow and grief for my people, I would be willing to be forever cursed, cut off from Christ, if that would save them.” Think about it, how far will you go to tell people about Jesus? Today, Richard Hamlet digs deeper into Romans chapter nine.
Real Time in the Marketplace
If you ever find yourself driving down Summer Avenue in Memphis, TN, don’t drive too fast or you might miss the marker that commemorates the very first Holiday Inn motel, which opened in the summer of 1952. Prior to that, roadside motels were often considered undesirable, unseemly and certainly not family friendly. It was during a family road trip from Memphis to Washington, DC that Kemmons Wilson Sr. encountered some of these less than desirable establishments and determined that he could do better. So he partnered with another Memphis businessman, and they went on to build one of the most successful hospitality companies in the world. Today, his son, Kemmons Wilson Jr. talks about how he is continuing his fathers legacy by serving as President and Chairman of the Board for Wilson Hotel Management Comppany, as well as Principal Executive Vice-President of Kemmons Wilson Companies. He says that true success comes from being in the center of God’s will.
