This week, Richard shares from the book of Jude and talks about finding joy in the marketplace.
Real Time in the Marketplace
In 1992, the landmark case of Planned Parenthood vs. Casey was before the Supreme Court. At this moment in history, the U.S. Supreme Court had an opportunity to reverse Roe vs. Wade as well as another abortion case, Doe vs. Bolton. While meeting in conference, the Supreme Court Justices voted 5 to 4 to overturn both Roe and Doe. At the eleventh hour, before the final opinion had been decided, a centrist coalition of moderate judges wrote a compromise that would weaken the Roe and Doe decisions but still leave abortion as the law of the land. This week’s guest contends that if more voices had risen up, across our great land, with a massive moral outcry, possibly, the outcome may have been different.
