In 1947, there were 40 million radios in the U.S. and about 44 thousand television sets; most of them in New York City. In the decade that followed World War II, the number of televisions in America skyrocketed. In the late 80’s, Dr. Terrance Ascott was waking down the street in Cairo, Egypt when he noticed something unusual. There was a family, sitting on the cement floor of an unfinished building, all gathered around a television. He immediately thought, “what if we could use television to share the gospel?” Satellite T.V. would be the perfect medium. In 1995, SAT-7 would launch it’s very first program. Today, they’re broadcasting the gospel across Northern Africa and the Middle-East. Today, SAT-7‘s Deputy CEO, Rita EL Mounayer joins us from Orlando, FL to talk more about their mission and the impact that is being made.
