Today, our Ministry in the Marketplace spotlight shines on the Executive Director of a mentoring/home repair ministry called, Service Over Self (S.O.S.). Philip Walkley has been involved with S.O.S. since 1998. But it wasn’t until 2007, that he found himself back in Memphis as their Executive Director. You see, their mission is to demonstrate Christ’s love by offering home repairs to people in communities who can’t afford them. One of the most unique things about S.O.S. is their student summer camp program. They train teens how to share Christ, while repairing a roof, or replacing dry-wall.
