Keeping Focus

For decades, scientist have been toying with the idea of creating a mass communication network that would provide unlimited amounts of information to the public. But it wasn’t until the birth of the internet, in 1983, that this would all come into play. Since then, technology has exploded. It seems like every time we turn around there’s a new idea being implemented. Nowadays, younger generations have access to things that those in their prime never dreamed of, causing great distractions. Today, Richard Hamlet talks about the importance of keeping our focus on God as our number one priority.

Marti AndersonIf you’ve ever traveled the world, or have been to another country at all, then you have undoubtedly been exposed to different kinds of people and their culture. For this weeks guest, our “different” is her “normal”. Raised as a missionary kid, her family served as a missionary kid, her family served the Dani and Moni tribes of Papua New Guinea. Her entire life has been committed to serving others. After graduating school, she noticed something. Unlike herself, many people seem to go through life without any sense of calling, motivation or purpose. So she wrote a book called, Finding My Tribe. It’s designed to help people discover God’s calling in their lives. Recently, Richard caught up with Marti Anderson in Nashville, TN.

Memphis was once known for having more churches than gas stations. Now, I’m pretty sure that there are more places to get coffee than gas… So that begs the question, why open another one? Well, it all started after Lacey Stluka went on a trip to Africa with her friend Britney Christie. It was a trip that would impact not only their lives, but the lives of others.
