Are you in a habit of waking up everyday to an energizing breakfast, a warm cup of coffee, and the newspaper? Routines seem to be such a huge part of our lives. We have to be careful. Before we know it, they can quickly distract us from our purpose. As believers, we often get so caught up in our daily routines that it’s easy to forget where it all came from. Once we train our minds on the fact that everything we have belongs to God, then life becomes a whole lot more meaningful. Forcing us to focus on the things of life that honor Him. Today, Richard Hamlet digs into I Chronicles 29.
Real Time in the Marketplace
Each week on Ministry in the Marketplace, we focus on someone’s story. We believe that everyone has a story to tell. Throughout life’s experiences, so many people are allowing God to use them in some pretty incredible ways. It’s our hope that by listening to the broadcast, you’ll be encouraged to hear how God is changing lives through his followers. Recently, while on the road, Richard met with someone who started out his ministry as a pastor. In recent years, he felt God calling him to turn his focus towards music as his primary ministry tool. His name is Erskin Anavitarte from Nashville, TN. Erskin says that his music has opened doors to reach people that otherwise, might not have heard the message of the gospel.
Real World Impact
If you’ve ever set a goal for yourself that didn’t quite turn out exactly like you had hoped, then you have something in common with today’s Real World Impact guest. Growing up, Josh Maze wanted to be a rock star. Early on, it wouldn’t have been too hard for him to imagine playing music before hundreds or thousands of people. But the thought of playing before that many people for Jesus, would’ve been totally off his radar. Josh Maze is the worship pastor at Highpoint Church in Memphis, TN.
