Starting out in life, we typically don’t have too many decisions to make. Chances are, as a young child your parents probably made most of your decisions for you. As life progresses, we are placed in various types of situations that require some pretty important, and sometimes life changing decisions to be made. Being concerned that we always choose the right path can often be troubling. Most of us will learn from those experiences and allow them to grow us. Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end leads to death.” Today, Richard Hamlet breaks down three types of people, who unfortunately are prone to making some pretty poor choices.
Real Time in the Marketplace
Do you remember the day when someone would use the term “blogging”, and you thought… What in the world does that even mean? Well, it really wasn’t that long ago when internet blogging was first developed. Nowadays, so many people even use certain social media outlets, such as Facebook or Twitter to promote their “blog”. Really, it’s just a way for people to voice their opinions on certain topics, or share new ideas. Our guest today is Melanie Redd. Melanie got into the “blogging world” for a different reason. She wanted to use her writing ability to be an encouragement to people who may be facing difficult situations in life. Just within a couple of years, since starting her blog, she’s been able to impact over 100,000 people, and that number is only growing! This avenue has opened up some opportunities for her to write a couple of books and now she is asked regularly to speak at different churches on the importance of mentoring and discipleship. Click on the audio bar below to hear Melanie tell her story of how it all began.
Real World Impact
Towards the beginning of today’s broadcast, Richard visits with Melanie Redd, who is daily impacting the lives of women through her internet blog. Well, later in the broadcast we’ll hear how a lady from India does things in order to make a difference in the lives around her. You see, not long ago Richard and his wife Ginger were visiting with some of MOF’s ministry partners in India. That’s when they met a young woman by the name of Jyothi. Today in our Real World Impact segment, Jyothi tells her story of how she has seen her family convert from Hinduism to Christianity and how she has been called to share the freedom that they have found in Jesus.
