Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes by hearing, that is, hearing the good news about Christ.” People can’t respond to something that they have never heard of. It may surprise you, but there are many people who would never darken the doors of a church, but they may listen to what you have to say about Christ. On a very short street, just off a very busy highway, under the shadow of one of the tallest office buildings in Memphis Tennessee, is a coffee shop. That’s right, in a city once known for having more churches than gas stations. Well now, we’re pretty sure that this city has more places for you to get a cup of coffee than gas. So that begs the question, why open another one? Well, it all started when Lacey Stluka went on a mission trip to Africa with her friend, Britney Christie. It was a trip that would not only impact their own lives, but the lives of others.
