Did you know that the average American spends nearly 90,000 hours of their life at work? Can you believe that? With that kind of investment, most of us would expect a major profit. Working hard to provide for your family is important. But if you think about it, everything that you do could have an eternal impact. Today, Richard Hamlet dives into the book of Ecclesiastes 3:9-11.
Real Time in the Marketplace
On today’s program, our Ministry in the Marketplace spotlight shines on Penny Clark. Penny is the founder of Majesty Mirrored Ministries. Several years ago, Penny and a group of her friends started this ministry that would reach out to underprivileged women, or as Jesus said… “the least of these”. You see, Penny grew up in a missionary’s home and spent the majority of her life serving others. Now, she is using what she has learned on the mission field by showing the love of Jesus to the ladies in her community. Click on the play button in the audio bar below to hear Penny’s story.
Real World Impact
If you’ve ever dealt with loneliness or rejection, and many of us have, our next guest has a word for us. Aster Bhatti was born in Pakistan where, like in so many Asian countries, girls are rejected at birth. They’re looked down upon and often times placed in orphanages. Well, thankfully Aster’s uncle decided to step in and raise her. Throughout her life, she felt an overwhelming sense of rejection knowing that her own parents didn’t want her. She couldn’t see it at the time, but God knew the plans He had for her. Plans to prosper and not to harm her. Listen to today’s program to hear Aster’s inspiring story of how she discovered hope.
