Our Real Time spotlight shines on Abu Roo,* a former Marine Corps officer. Abu is a graduate of the Citadel and has completed graduate studies at the University of Maryland. He also holds a masters and a doctorate degree from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently working on a Ph.D. in leadership at Southern Seminary.

After serving at Bellevue Baptist Church for 20 years, Abu Roo went to the Middle East to share Jesus Christ with Muslims. He started and successfully ran a business as missions operation for three years. Later, he served in a leadership capacity at Arab World Ministries and Pioneers Ministries. Missionaries under his responsibility served in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Israel/Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, and the Darfur area of Sudan.
